Ensuring you have access to your signers helps establish peace of mind. We’ve built tools that let you verify signing abilities (i.e. you have access to the private key) across all layers of the system, without needing to actually submit transactions of value. We do this by letting you trigger messages that only your private key can sign.
Passkeys are used as the signers for Accounts created within the product.
You can view all your passkeys by going to Settings > Personal > Passkeys. You will see all the passkeys you’ve added, along with the date last verified/used.

Find the passkey you wish to verify, click the three dots, and select Verify access… Follow the prompts to verify your passkey.

Using 1Password: the 1Password flow can be confusing because the “prompt” to open 1Password is easily missed. It appears in the top right corner of your browser. In general, we’ve found 1Password to be less reliable than iCloud and Google Password Manager.

Password manager ordering: browsers behave differently regarding the options and order of password managers. Often, you can find the right password manager by clicking the Cancel or X buttons in the dialog modal, which will then open other options. More info.

Recovery signers are externally owned accounts (EOAs). Verifying Recovery signers works similarly to verifying passkeys, with the main difference being that you need to connect a wallet to perform the verification.
Go to Settings > Recovery. You will see the list of Recovery signers.

Find the one to verify, click the three dots, and select Verify signer… This will prompt you to connect a wallet.
